Peach Chikankari Parsi Gara Saree

The Parsi 'gara' is a quintessence of embroidery, art and history. No less enterprising than the men, the Parsi women, who had already adapted the Indian sari as their attire and wore it in their inimitable style, used the heavily embroidered swatches to turn them into saris. 'Gara' is the Gujarati word for saree and as the embroidery was inspired by the parsi art, hence parsi gara. The motifs are influenced by the flora and fauna.

This is a pure georgette saree with all over shadow work chikankari embroidery. A beautiful delicate parsi gara embroidery runs all over the border of the saree and pallu. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece which can be custom stitched.
