Why is Lucknow chikankari a summer staple for all?
Chikan is mostly done on fine comfortable cotton /pure georgettes /organza cloth which is soothing for summers and mostly pastel shades can be paired up with white palazzo and pants. The vastness of chikan work cannot be imagined ,though the embroidered patterns and styles go hand in hand with the running trends.
When most of the celebs are asked for their love for chikan work they love it for its simplicity and purity. Chikankari never fails to impress people, Chikankari attires need only simple jewellery to paired with them. A black metal drop dangler or a hoop drop paired with jootis and mojris are enough to spellbind people. The traditional salwar suits have taken shapes of long anarkalis with flowy embroidery patterns to endless range of modern gowns and lehengas.  There are enormous number of times our celebs have made us fall in love for chikankari. The chikankari patterns are so beautifully handcrafted that they can turn million heads turn around.
The most important part of chikankari dresses are more the light shade the prettier it gets. The magnificent patterns are decorated with mukaish, gotapatti and bead -pearl work. Every design/pattern in the chikan art has a story to tell. Mostly the designers choose light pastels for which heavy embroidery is done with other thread work.
